August 15, 2009 I will be hosting a softball tournament with approx 32 teams participating. The tournament will be played in Boulder Colorado at the Stazio ballfields off of Arapahoe and 63rd St. Food and drink will be provided by Shooters Bar (for a donated price) - Brad Hogan owner. There will be raffle prizes and silent auction prizes at the tournament from restaurants and business' in Boulder and the Denver Metro areas.
I will be renting 7 fields for the day at the cost of $210.00 per field and am asking for donations with this cost as well as donations for T-shirt costs and help with the umpires (either financial or gift certificates). PLEASE HELP US.
80% of the proceeds with go to Boulder Community Hospital Cancer Research Fund (a 501 3 c charitable organization). And 20% of the proceeds will go to Heidi Muller (see photo) to help with her fight with breast cancer.
This fundraiser is an effort to support Heidi with her battle, along with BCH's efforts to beat cancer. Also, this fundraiser is in loving memory of Margie Tabares (2005) and Kathleen (Kay) Shirk (2009), both who have lost their battles, and ALL who have battled this awful disease.
